Kids running, jumping, throwing softballs ... more than 120 kids came out Saturday to take part in the district Hershey Track and Field event.

Hosted by Georgetown County Parks and Recreation Department, kids came from throughout the county, Kingstree, St. Michael's Catholic School in Garden City Beach and from North Myrtle Beach.

Desmond Phillips has been working with the Hershey program for the county for a number of years.

He said there were at least 200 parents and other family members who came out to watch the kids compete.

See the complete results listing in the companion story.
