We?ve written about the big three Labor Day ski/snowboard sales (Sports Authority?s Sniagrab, Colorado Ski & Golf? & Boulder Ski Deals? Ski Rex?and Christy Sports? Powder Daze) with savings of up to 75% on last year?s gear, apparel and accessories and good?pre-season values on 2011-12 products too. This is also time to buy season passes and multi-day packs. Ski area representatives are stationed at all the major sales locations, so you can comparison shop. Some of the deals are so good that you can buy two or three, enabling you to ski around?at less than the price of a single-area season pass in other, less fortunate?parts of the country. Here are some you?ll find at some or all of the sales, which end tomorrow, September 5. Some?examples of Labor Day sale specials that either are available this weekend only or will cost more come September 6; only adult price given here. Arapahoe Basin: 4 transferable day tickets, no restrictions, no black-out dates, $129. Echo Mountain, unlimited season pass including 3 FREE days at Sunlight and 3 FREE days at Ski Cooper. Eldora, 3-pack, $89. Copper Mountain or Winter Park, buy a?4-pack ($139 and $149 respectively) & get a 5th day FREE; Powder Daze only. Loveland, 4-Pak, $119; season pass, $359 new, $339 renewal, including FREE days at Monarch Mountain, Durango Mountain & Silverton Mountain. Vail Resorts (Breckenridge, Keystone, Vail, Beaver Creek and A-Basin on some pass products), various pass products; buy at Ski Rex and get $10 to $50 store credit. Representatives from Colorado destination?resorts (i.e., farther than a day trip) are also at some sales. Note: Colorado Ski Country USA?s 5th and 6th Grade Passports go on sale later this month, and the Gems Card is currently available online, not at the sales.
